Mat Rogers played 12 years in the NRL (National Rugby League) and 5 years in the ARU (Australian Rugby Union), representing both state and country in both sports. This experience provided him with a broad perspective of professional sport in Australia.
Growing up surrounded by the game of Rugby League, with his father captaining the Kangaroos in 1981, Mat’s childhood gave him the unique perspective of seeing what it took to achieve his goals and go after them from a young age.
In the last 10 years of his career, whilst having a senior role in his teams, Mat grew increasingly frustrated seeing players being given advice that was not always in the best interest of the player and person. After becoming disillusioned, Mat managed his own career for the final 8 years, whilst also providing advice and guidance to many less experienced players due to their lack of confidence in the people advising them during that time.
Craig Clifton began his career in Rugby League as a part time trainer in 1993 at the Cronulla Sharks and later as staff for the St George Illawarra Dragons. Craig worked within these roles for more than 20 years, continually developing strong relationships with players, coaches, and administrators.
Craig has had a successful 20-year career in the NSW Police Force and later in life working for the Department of Justice in NSW supporting and guiding young offenders through the court system. Craig has also worked within junior Rugby League both as an administrator and coach in NSW and has mentored many young athletes for the past 25 years.
